During the height of Covid-19, RDU International Airport hosted an 8 week long design competition in which teams were tasked with designing and proposing a solution to help generate revenue during the pandemic.

Our team, consisting of RTP professionals as well as college students from Duke and NC State University, proposed interactive display implementations that would remind travelers of Covid-19 restrictions. Regarding revenue, these installations would also act as digital advertising boards that would generate revenue for the airport both during and after the pandemic.

We constructed a 6 month, 12 month, and 18 month business plan that consisted of a project timeline, contingency plan, implementation pathway, risk assessment, and projected cash flows.
